Renesmee(s)

Dear Loyal Readers,
Of two things I'm sure:
1. This title makes no sense unless you are a twihard...
2. In light of #1: HTB will be the first to click on my link...
But I digress, as in the book it seems as if my little ladies are born with a set of teeth already. Harper is cutting her first teeth BEFORE four months. They are not even the bottom teeth, but the eye teeth! Pearson did this too, I just checked her baby book. I am weirded out by this. They really should not be able to bite this early, but alas. Watch your exposed veins world, I have vampire babies!
Sincerely,

Pinks (In Drag)

We went to the drag races at Pacific Raceways with our family tonight. A classic to be sure. Ty's uncles, aunts, cousins, Casey, and his MOM raced their cars. My favorite moments were: when a helmet clad Corinne smoked Pete in the first go-round, the little girls cheering their hearts out for Casey and Gama (who was BTW wearing a stellar racing outfit complete with silver point-toed flats, and how happy Grandpa Lang was watching. It was a great family outing, however, next time I am DEFINITELY leaving my little baby at home (it was LOUD, PTL I brought ear plugs...) That being said, Pearson LOVED it and I'm sure she will want to go back all too soon. Yet another preview of her impending love of bad boys who race for pinks.

Worth a Thousand Words

Here is a cute video of Pea "taking" Harper's picture...had she been facing her "camera" the correct way...here's the photo she might have taken:

Brush Your Teeth With a Bottle of Jack

Mama's tired. My high school girlfriends were in town last night for a bachelorette party. I want to remember three things:
1. Manzo & Kt's signature dance move (see below)...

2. Kenna, the air mattress, what happened? We were on top of the world and when we woke up all you had to say was, "And we've sunk." and I knew by the way my hip felt that we were laying on just the carpet.
3. How time, marriages, kids, or moving doesn't change the dynamics of our friendship. I love you girls with a heart of gold.
Dancing, some drinks, and one HAPPY bride. Congrats Briezy!

Babies on the Brain!

Since she posted, I'm posting... Officially, I'm going to be an aunt again! Hooray!

Harper will have a cousin who is less than a year apart-we couldn't be happier for Andrea and Casey, congrats!!! Can't wait to meet the newest little Bell; he or she will be much loved <3

p.s. that makes the count 9: ladies who are friends and family that are pregnant and tonight we are going to a party where we find out the sex of Luke and Chelsea's baby!! (Not me, don't be getting any ideas from my post title-this shop is officially closed for business.)
That said, it's a Baby BOOM and we are loving all these new blessings:)
p.s. It's a boy!!!!! Congrats L & C

show business

Frivolous? yes. But I digress...
Lately with countless bottle feedings and Pea being sick for over a week we've been watching a lot of TV. It's terrible, I assure you, but in light of our total immersion allow me to indulge myself...Let's get down to the business of shows; first let me start out by stating that The Office reruns are still the funniest thing on television. That's what she said. She being me. Moving on...
Some observations:
-Do not watch Yo Gabba Gabba if you take elicit drugs. It could send you off the cliffs of sanity.
-After seeing just two episodes of The Exterminators I am convinced that the state of Louisiana is in point of fact the seventh circle of Hell or if not then definitely ground zero for one of the seven deadly plagues.
-Bones, The Closer, and Law & Order are my meat and potatoes. All have their own flavor, but they are staples nonetheless.
-Freaks and Geeks is new to me though it had a short run in the late nineties. Parts of that show are genius. The casting for one is impeccable. I must say that had I watched this show on the first go round its said genius might have alluded me because it might have too closely resembled reality for me junior year of high school.
-Shear Genius and Project Runway satisfy my creative slash make-over needs.
-And the two shows I can not believe I'm going to admit I LOVE, but shouldn't are: The Vampire Diaries ("yep, that's right, the one on the CW" she says shaking her head in shame.) and Real Housewives of New Jersey. GTL only with housewives not named Snookie. Each satisfy my drama quota...
-Favorite Reruns of all time that I can find NOWHERE on TV are Wonder Years, I Love Lucy, and Perry Mason (not the cheap 80's version of PM, the Mad Men-like Perry of the late 1950's)
And speaking of Mad Men...
-It is the best show on TV, end of story. It's metaphors and contradictions are cause for much speculation and interpretation which I, of course, adore. Having said that, it really does not have redeeming qualities. If you're looking for a Full House moment of moral reflection; let me be clear: it's not happening. For Casey's benefit I'll repeat what I said in the car on the way to Drew's wedding: "Oh Don Draper your life is a lie, but everything you do in private is just so you can feel something real."
It's high time I take up reading again. Up next? The Help. I'll post a review...
For now, yours in TV Land,

Happy 4th of Chaos!

I just have to write this down, because while I'd like to forget it completely remember it in years to come, it's worth words...
The cute outfits are on, hair is done, food is prepared and we're headed to Gama's to celebrate the 4th of July in style on the bay. This is us in what we'll call the "before" picture.

Umm, that is until 5 minutes before we arrive. Tyler is driving the girls and I am in his car following him. All of a sudden he pulls over and jumps out of the car with his shirt over his nose gagging and motioning for me to pull over. Pearson had PROJECTILE vomited all over herself, the car, her car seat, everything within a couple feet of her. Panic set in, poor girl! We rush to Ty's mom's and get her out of the car narrowly missing the urge to puke ourselves. I will spare of the details of how we cleaned up, but sufficed to say it involved a hose, spray & wash, a bath, and the washing machine. I'd say we spent hours cleaning and worrying about Pea who seemed to be fine for most of the rest of the day. I don't think I even got one good picture! So sad, but Cay Sera Sera such is life. Oh and I missed the fireworks. Oh, and I got egg on my face literally (from the belated family egg toss game missed at Easter on account of RAIN because yes it's still COLD here in Seattle...) On a lighter note, I did have some good conversation and got to be with family and friends including my brother Chase and his super fun girlfriend Megan. However, that being said: Next year I'm hoping to be telling a different story! Today is Pearson's third birthday party, hoping for a vomit-free & actually fun day...
Happy 4th, everyone!! (she says with a wink and a half-smile-see below right before I was creamed...)

Swim for it!

Pearson's last day of swim lessons was today and we're all a bit bummed. It has been fun and Pea has made a lot of improvement in the water. Go girl, Mommy's proud. She received a certificate of completion and I think we'll do another session later on in the summer! Here are a few of my favorite pictures of her last day: Babe H decided she would wear her new suit too, however, she looks just as unimpressed as the first day...

kiss.

Recently we went to Drew and Morgan Lang's wedding in Suncadia on June 26th. It was a beautiful day, windy, very windy, but amazing. Drewbie and Morgan are BFF's from forever and it was a treat to see how their relationship has grown. I was also happy to note that I am married to who I would consider my best friend as well. Lucky me. Ty, for all your quirks and I know I haven't said this in a while, but: I don't JUST love you; I really really like you too...
