All About Pea

This week Pea graduated from Pre-K! Here she is on her graduation night...
The proud owner of a new bible and the end of an era! Here's another cute one...
I can't believe how big she's getting! This week also marks our first successful chore chart for which Miss Pea earned a LaLa Loopsie mini doll. She was ecstatic! Go Pea, you have done so well babe...
And finally, she's been spending quite a lot of quality time with miss Heidi and learning to ride her bike with no training wheels (this is a work in progress...):
Those two are hilarious and I love watching their friendship grow. Pea, you are my darling girl and as this week comes to a close; I can feel time marching on. Know that you are SO loved.

The Birds.

To all of the women who work so hard to raise their children: It's no joke, am I right? whoooo. (she says as she wipes the sweat off her brow...)On Friday morning, my amazing husband sent me an email entitled, "Choose Your Own Adventure-Mother's Day Weekend" which had all these options of things I wanted to do or places to eat, etc. What a man. I'm telling you God blessed me with someone who often knows me better than I know myself and who lives life to the fullest. For that, I am so grateful. So as part of my adventure weekend, we made a trip to Seattle to get a tattoo which represents our girls. I've wanted this for a while and decided this was the perfect time... The birdcage is this home, family, and life we've created for these little girls to grow up in. To foster who they are and use the time we have with them wisely. And on the other arm are my girls; one bird for each which represents our goal. To raise them with the love of Christ, the joy of life and love, and most importantly to give them wings so that they can fly on their own someday with the knowledge that we will always love and support them. It's also a reminder to cover them in prayer every day because I realize they won't always be under my roof or control and that prayer is powerful. Girls, I love you and thank you for making me a mom which is the hardest job on earth and one of the only legacies that last generations. Also, I'm thankful for my own mom today who has given me so much love and support and a wonderful example of patience and servant-hood. Happy Mother's Day!

Cutting Room Floor

Here are some great pictures that I don't have a theme to blog about, but tell the story of late April and early May including, but not limited to: Uncle Chase's trip home, Reen's Cinco De Mayo Engagement Extravaganza, and a Bell trip to Alki...

Confessions

It's that time again.
I know at least some of you wait with baited breath for these, am I right? ;) And so...
-My husband without fail "credit card's" me EVERY time I walk up the stairs in front of him. It's deteriorated to the point where I immediately break into a brisk jog up the stairs if he's behind (get it?) me.
-I very seriously considered offering a few women X amount of euros for the boots they were wearing off their feet in Milan. I had the distinct feeling they were lovers in a past life and I'd never see them again.
-I can't stand "baby on board" signs in people's car windows. Like I'm especially NOT trying to hit your car because there is a baby on board. I'm especially not trying to hit ANY car on the road.
-I called the automated checkout machine at Freddys a dirty word on Thursday. Not for nothing, but I'm sure it was overheard...
-I keep wearing these grey jeggings that look terrible on me, but I keep hoping they'll magically change the next time.
-I've been to Yum-e Yogurt four times in the past week. (wondering if the previous confession may be related to the current one...I'm having an epiphany).
-Every night Harper prays in a whisper. It's literally the creepiest voice you've ever heard. Actually, it gives me the willies thinking about it. Shiver.
And there you have it; until next time...

Golden Glove

Pea just started T-ball this spring and so far seems to be taking to it. Apparently she did really well on Saturday and Ty was a proud papa. I think Harp can actually throw the ball better than Pea, but Pea is a good grounder and base runner. Go Pea, you're the apple of our eye...
