Their 40th, Our Blessing.

My In-Loves (Tyler's parents) had their 40th wedding anniversary and party this weekend. It was such a special occasion and time to relfect. Our family is so blessed by their legacy and love. I hope my daughters remember all those priceless moments: dancing with dad, hearing their dad and aunt and uncle tell what they've learned from their parent's marriage, and seeing such a wonderful example of sacrificial love. Happy 40th Steve and Carolyn! We love you.

Uber Awesome.

Quickly becoming our favorite: the annual Tax date!! This year we spent the night at Olive 8 and hit up Capitol Hill: Von Trapps, Cannon, Monsoon, Molly Moons, Brave Horse for some darts, and lastly the hotel bar. In the AM went to Columbia City for breakfast at Geraldine's so yummy! But the big theme this year was trying out the car service, Uber. We each had a 20 coupon for it and so we went everywhere for free! It was amazing. It was all we talked about;) What a fun time for us to spend time with Andi and Casey; we're lucky we're family AND friends. Thanks for doing our taxes, Andi! Until next year...

The Injury

Our sweet Pea got a really bad "owie" which was actually a terrible laceration this week on her thigh. The brave girl was at a birthday party and swinging on a rope. She slipped off and fell into a bank of lockers and cut her leg something fierce! After an ER trip, antibiotics, surgery, and another round of antibiotics we are officially on the mend. Her wound was fairly big so we made the decision as a family to have surgery done to fix whatever scar she'd end up with. Can I just tell you: Pea is so courageous and has quite the pain tolerance. She has inspired me with her attitude through this whole ordeal and I'd say I'm a better woman for just watching it. I love her scar OR no scar; she's the most beautiful girl in the world:)

Be of good cheer

Pea is doing Upward Cheer again this year and loving it. She is so cute up there trying her hardest, saying the Pledge of Allegiance, and cheering loud! I asked her to write something down for the blog to tell about this picture and here is what she wrote:

Superbowl Mayhem

I would be remiss not to mention the pure mayhem surrounding the Seahawks victory in the Superbowl and all the happenings at our business and general craziness at home set to the tune of Macklemore. This win is literally Tyler's dream come true. He's ecstatic. Every Blue Friday leading up to the Superbowl, there would be a tailgate party at Bellmont with treats, skits, and camaraderie. On a serious note it's been so cool to see Seattle come together in this. The Emerald City is amazing I must say. Here are some of my favorite Seahawk moments from the past month leading up to a win today! WHOOP! World Champs, boom.
